1 Samuel 2:2
...there is no Rock like our God.
What a time to be alive?! Challenge, division & weakness around each new corner, while the promises of God are still ever before us. You may wonder, is it even possible to live in God’s Shalom (peace), as we enter 2021 with so much uncertainty? Or how do I even attempt to have my mind and emotions ruled more by the Word of God, when each day feels more shaky then the next?
Answer: we train church family. Just like we train to perform well in our occupations and athletes train to play a sports, it is clearer than ever, we won’t make it if we don’t build on the Rock that is stronger and more stable than us or our world. Jesus said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24)
So if you’ve been skating by without regular time seeking God in the scriptures and calling out to Him in prayer…it’s time to start, today. Pray by yourself, pray with your family, lean on each other as a church family…let’s do this like the people of God!
We just started on Monday in 21 days of prayer and fasting as a church and with believers across this community. If you haven’t started, it’s not to late! Let’s do this together! Let’s let the Spirit of God blow on the embers of our faith, and press into the Rock that is stronger than us, Jesus the Christ. Saints throughout the ages have endured much worse than our challenging present (check Hebrews 11). But the God of the Universe, put us on this planet for such a time as this, and has given us the divine grace to overcome. Even though our thoughts and emotions may feel in moments like we’re drowning, let’s choose together to build like never before, on King Jesus and His unshakeable Kingdom!
