Respite Night

Respite events are designed to give a family with a child or children with disabilities a little respite. Bring the kiddos and we will care for them while you get some time for you! Details coming soon.

Praise and Prayer

Do you want spiritual refreshment? Would you like to give God the gift of praise, thanks, adoration, and love? Come and join us from where you are with a phone call!

Want to show the love of Christ to families and individuals affected by disability? Come join us as we put gift bags together and deliver them! Check back for details.

Do you have a wheelchair that you don’t need?
Donate it on Sundays in February! Wheelchairs will be given to the Joni and Friends Wheels for the World™ program, restored to like-new condition, and provided to people with disabilities in less-resourced countries. Tax-deductible receipts are available.

Activities

More Than Able is involved with the following ministry activities:

  • MTA Praise and Prayer Group

  • In house disability awareness training

  • Partnership with Joni & Friends for family retreats, Respite Nights and Special Delivery

  • Buddy program for children with disabilities
    Support group for people effected by disability

  • Various Accommodations (i.e. Braille, Large print, FM Transmitters/Receivers, Audio Bulletins, etc.)

Accomodations

More Than Able is involved with the following ministry accommodations:

  • Reading for the blind and/or dyslexic

  • Braille Material (i.e. Music/Sermon Notes/Bible Study Material)

  • Cassette tapes (i.e. Church bulletin/Books on tape/Bible Studies)

  • Buddy Program for children with disabilities in Sunday School classes

Buddy Program

My child has a disability. How do I get them set up with a buddy?

Contact Karon Cecy, our Children’s Ministry Director, and let her know that your child has a disability and is in need of classroom support and we’ll work on finding a great buddy!

Joni and Friends Family Retreat

Families from Campus have been blessed by attending a Family Retreat. Also, Short-Term Missionaries (STMs) volunteer and serve families with Christ-like encouragement and friendship.
