Daily Devotional

I've been thinking about this throughout this past month as we have been preparing for our Easter celebrations. We are so grateful for the work that Jesus did on the cross and we want others to find the salvation He made possible for us. So we work really hard to provide opportunities to draw them so they will hear. 

After reading this a few weeks ago, my vision began to change. First off, Jesus' work on the cross was really hard. No amount of work that I could do would compare with what it took for Him to willingly suffer the tremendous torment He went through. 
 
But secondly, it changed my focus about the end result of my efforts as I was preparing our Easter Walkthrough. I felt this verse is what I needed to pray for those that would come to Campus Bible Church this Easter. Not that the Father would draw them to the Walkthrough or our church services, but that He would draw them to Himself.

Because Jesus did the work, Jesus is the Victor.

Thank you Jesus for the blood applied
Thank you Jesus You have washed me white
Thank you Jesus You have changed my life
Brought me from the darkness into glorious light
